I live in Westwood and am a mother to two amazing kids, Miles (11) and Caroline (7). Our family started out as Covid homeschoolers and loved it so much, we decided to keep going! We joined Spark in the Spring of 2021 and really felt like we had found our community. I am a professional violist and teach private viola and violin lessons, however, my passion right now is macro photography and diving deeper into unschooling.

My family and I are entering our second year of homeschooling and could not be more excited and grateful for the ability to provide this for our children. My husband and I were both born and raised in Northern Kentucky and have two children - Otto who is 7 and Ada who is 4. Homeschooling and joining Spark has given us precious time with our children, allowing us to watch them grow and learn in ways I don't think would be possible through traditional schooling.

Welcome! I am a Direct Support Professional for individuals with disabilities as well as the mother of Theo age four. My husband Dmitri was born in Ukraine and came to the States at age six. I was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. Our goal as a family is to travel and see the world exploring life and learning as much as we can as we go. Though we are just beginning our homeschool journey, my husband has a homeschool diploma and I have known I wanted to do this before we had a kid. We have a large family on both sides, Theo has many cousins, but we wanted more exposure to other homeschooling families. I discovered SPARK last year, it has been a beautiful blessing getting together with these families weekly and connecting with all the other parents. We are looking forward to many years with the SPARK community.

I’ve been homeschooling my son, Ronin (14) since day 1! One thing that has helped us greatly is finding a wonderful homeschool community that shares our morals and values. As a family, we like to play D and D, walk our dogs, and play Nerf! We have two dogs, two cats, and a fish. I enjoy doing various types of art and calligraphy. We are starting homeschool high school this year, which has me nervous and excited all at once!
