Mondays in Northern Kentucky

Every week from September to May, we meet on Mondays at Christ Church UCC located at 15 S Fort Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas, KY 41075. We spend our days digging into subjects that excite our kids. During 2021/2022 we explored robotics, mythology, entomology, dance and various art styles. We sometimes have a hired mentor lead a class and then the rest of the offerings our families work together to lead. We meet inside mostly but have access to the church parking lot and courtyard which we utilize to get outside and run around or even do offerings if it is nice out. This year, we are planning to expand our offerings to include sensory play and story/craft time for our preschool age kids as well as offerings designed specifically for the 9-12 year age range.

Many believe that children will never learn unless they are forced to do so. That is simply not true. Children are born with innate curiosity, creativity, problem solving abilities, and a desire to explore and learn in ways that are meaningful for them. Just observe any young child and notice all the life skills they are motivated to gain for their survival and growth. Notice all the wonder and excitement they have about the things that they love, whether it’s dinosaurs, Squishmallow toys, or soccer.
